I moved the server back to the live server. You
should be able to connect now. HOwever, a few of you
may get an error about not able to connect to
webpatch server, that will pop up but since there
are no updates, you can still connect (by
continuing.) This error will go away over time as
the DSN service refreshes. |

Only thing is, the patch is finally correct without
the expansion file errors and such.
I hope that Boboh has check your file to make sure
it's virus/spyware/malware free. |

problems can just run it locally. |

Download Revo Uninstaller. Remove everything
related to T4C incase you have any other files.
Download it again.
When it's done. Right click and go to Properties.
Changed it so it always runs in Admin and get it
to run with Windows Xp.
Or
If its stuck on download. Go onto Task Manager,
Processes and then disable expand.exe and

You might also try setting the same to expand.exe too as after it downloads the files from webpatch, it has to expand the files and that is where we are having problems. Also, I will tell you that the expanding takes a long time even on very fast machines. It might look like the machine has locked up but its still expanding the files. That's where we found to open the task manager, kill the process, delete the files in the install folder and try again.

Crit,
With windows 7, make sure before you run the client, right click on the following files in your installed folder and select run in XP SP3 compatibility mode and run as administrator:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Dialsoft T4c 1.71\
t4c.exe
t4cconfig.exe
webpatch.exe
This helped for me and windows 7.

Crit,
The issue is known and was something we had no
control over. The client was developed by
Dialsoft
staff and sent to us in an "as is" style.
Best bet would be to email Boboh, Heph, or myself
to solve your issue.
Boboh has offered many solutions and Heph and I
have made ourselves fully available for fixing
client download issues.
Honestly, being a GM/Dev, I had the same issues.
I had to clear out the Dialsoft 1.71 folders with
all the subfolders by going into the Dialsoft T4c
1.71 file folder via my computer, c:, program
files.
Run the client again, then if it stopped, I would
go into my task manager, kill the client and
expand exe files

| I give up. 4 computers. 1 xp, 2 vista , and 1 windows 7. All 4 get the same errors every time. Error messages saying to download in safe mode blah blah. Perhaps should have looked into an extremely easier client system. |

I can only put the 50 meg initial client there, but
at least that's something.

To install your software:
1. Go here and download the new client http /www.the4thcoming.net/Resources/T4CClient.EXE
2. Let it install.
3. When you start the game make sure to select"t4cnorth.the4thcoming.net" in the dropdown. (to the right of the little red dragon).
4. It will do updates, let it complete when done you should be good to go. |

Once you have installed the client. Make sure to
select the t4cnorth.the4thcoming.net server when
logging in to grab our extra files as well as each
time you log in |
