First a system it's self has to be designed to be implimented. We have a discussion about it, I'm sure red ran across it, maybe if he bumps it, we can start going over it again.

It was simular to a point system based on chess point systems. I had a few problems with the math working well with a PVP system but got close, I have notes, I'll have to find.

After a system is figured, implimentation would require an executible to be written (only VB 6 at this time) to calculate/maintain the points.

Ah, another unfair comment. Because MANY people were taken to help when the offered, some were told no when we had enough at the time, and others were told no when we were not ready.

As I've said, and since you're good at reading the logs, you can go back and confirm. Things are moving ahead now. Complain all you want, but It's going as fast as it can.

Maybe I can help with that, I only need DB specifications, maybe a copy of the tables needed? I know ASP, SQL and some other stuff

posts the same exact thing only worded differently it gets the attention and Respect it deserves.
Maybe they post it without attitude and so it's clear and easy to understand? If you yell and scream all people hear is noise, if you calmly clearly explain something it get's heard. This is true in all aspects, I garantee if somebody screamed at you, you would instantly ignore them.

Yes, End of year is always busy for me, which I posted this at the near the beginning of Decmeber.

The money has never been the issue either way, I (and those that volunteer their time) try as hard as possible to get things done. I agree it could go faster, and it was explained that recently some things have changed in order to make things better.

I do not believe that either of you are trying anything less than to keep players here, I firmly believe this. I am however going to point out the method for which you're doing it, is not possitive.

This is 100% right, although Jarl did many things and kept many things a certain way because of what he felt was continuity, he did in fact change many things based on information recieved/requested from players. As we all know he is difficult to get a point accross, but points did get made and changes were put into effect based on them.

At this moment the duties of the dev have drastically changed. And as a result those that have taken the "lead" are fixing a number of minor errors and other issues. This is in an effort to have a base, to move forward on new stuff. At which time, we will most likely need more help, testers, contributors, etc. We will also add Event GMs, but unfortunatly, with the new changes, things are busy and we can't do it right away. More and more will be posted here. And more team members will be needed, unfortunatly, we are not 100% sure were we stand, and we don't want to give dates, because if we miss them, we get even more backlash. There is forward momentum however. We are not talking Months, but instead maybe weeks or less, hopefully (at least that's our goal.)

i even posted something from another server on here about mwl and bonus for best pvper.but its always ignored till sum1 else says it in a different manner or worded differently.

made plenty of posts in the past boboh about tryn to keep players on this server. How things are wrong with many diff things and nothing changed and jarl kept doing his thing. I'm not tryn to run anyone down but this game is for fun and we've added a whole new island jsut to kill one type of monster. People are waitning and have been waiting a long long time why not give them something to do while they wait? like events and more GM's to run them. Also made suggestions on how the MWL could be meaningful and fun. Even proved that its meaningless by racking up hero points on a toon that pvp's just the same as my villain with what 400 mwl points. Again shot down. If you need ideas i can give you all youd ever want but im not gonna put them on here contantly then explain the reasoning for the change then argue with other players about it. I'd rather explain my reasons for a suggestion and show you in any way possible how it would work and why it would be fun.

boboh i know you have been busy lately and have just now started to have "any" time,this is the most ive seen you post on boards in months and months.
but have you not seen how many people have left and how many have gone t,w,th and the people that are left are disappointed and "Frustrated"
i know its probally hard to tell from a money perspective how many people havent renewed,or lapsed,gone t,w,th,or just quit playing on this server,but for sum1 who plays the game all the time or logs in at various hrs or the night knows that its going down hill kinda fast.
i know the money thing to you isnt that important because its not your primary thing but that makes it even worse that you might not care as much.
but when we do mention things that could improve the server and they seem to not be taken into consideration or looked at seriously or looked at less credibly then it just makes us think your pushing the players away so you can just close the server.

The delay has been explained in other posts, you can read through them it will answer all your questions and address most of your remarks. Things should pick up now, and even faster if there is resposible respectful support. Hopefully that's not too much to ask, maybe it is.

As for shooting things down, sometimes things can't be accomodated, most of the time nothing is shot down although it may not be implimented depending on the situation.

Suggestions here generally do not go unanswered or unread. I think instead your suggestions don't get the attention you feel they should get. After all you claim that somethign was shot down, that is showing that it did get read, no? And if you don't get answers, why are you posting all this (could it be because you know it gets read? I think so.)

I think however, suggestions from the two of you may recieve far less consideration, due to the tone you have chosen. I realize you may be frustrated, but passing frustration/anger on to others in an effort to make yourselves feel/look better, resolves nothing. Except loss of credibility. If you were treated that way at work or school you would do the same thing (and probably have, as it's only expected, being a normal response.).

People working on the dev stuff work as quickly as they can (and as I said earlier there are some explinations as to why some of the delays, I'm sure the both of you know/read them.) and new stuff will start coming out more quickly. However, this is not because the two of you decided to "stir up things". Instead it's going to be because of people that have been dedicated to donating their valuable personal time working on the server for the past 5+ years in an effort to give you a place to have fun and be a part of. (there are not too many qualified people that are lined up to be part of this group.)

*edit* no idea should be shot down no matter what it is.all ideas should be taken into consideration and weigh out the facts and practicality,balance,pros cons etc.not just a spur of the moment i dont like that idea or it doesnt fit what "I" want to do etc...
we have the greater good in mind for the server or we would have permenantly left the server many many years ago.not played the game for so many years making all types of chars so we know what everything is about.with the many years of playing comes alot of experience,and knowledge is a good thing.not something that should be tossed aside.

i just cant see why "every" other server is putting out so much more so much faster then gv is,its sad.
now i can undestand "some" may have more players and more money and more staff paid or not,putting out content,but all of them?somethings not right here lol

Your right red it is time to stir up things. Like Athena shooting down ideas for a new exp event for the majority of players who need and want it. It's just getting sad in a hurry now. Tried talking to Athena this morning and got in like a sentence or two. Need to get things in gear in all aspects of the game. So much stuff could be done to make what we have more fun while new things are being made. Instead we've been talking about new robes and colors for monnths which i dont use and there still arn't new robe colors. If you want ideas to make the game more fun ask me in game we're tired of making suggestions on here that go unanswered and untried. It's like watching a man die from dehydration and they are jsut standing there with a big gulp watching the server die.

(i.e. scheduled events). This is also the reason why holiday events last 24 hours so nobody has to lose sleep and can still make the event whenever they usually log on.
